The award was given to the HABITAT research bioreactor in the Industrial/Tools category, for its outstanding design with ergonomic handling and intuitive operation.
HABITAT convinced a jury of 133 experts from the world’s oldest independent design organization, iF International Forum Design GmbH. The product proves that even with complex equipment, users can still work easily and comfortably. It is the first laboratory bioreactor with a stand and lid, which saves handling effort and ensures a neat, scientific workspace.
The highlight of HABITAT is its unique “Chaotic Mixing” mode, which allows for faster and more efficient mixing. The user-friendly design and intuitive operation help users quickly get acquainted with the product, significantly improving work efficiency in the laboratory.
IKA shares the excitement of receiving this prestigious seal of approval and thanks the team of developers and designers who contributed to its success. HABITAT was one of nearly 11,000 entries from 56 countries around the world.
Since 1954, the iF Design Award has honored outstanding designs in many fields, becoming a globally prestigious symbol of design quality.
